Today (May 7) is a beautiful day weather-wise. Having just driven through Stonehouse at about 5.30pm, I couldn't help but notice the amount of children walking around with carrier bags. Most were around the ages 12 to 16....

Raising the price of alcoholic drinks will not remove the problems blamed on excessive consumption. The most obvious example is the behaviour of young people on the streets of our towns and cities....

I have just finished watching Wasted Nation on BBC Scotland, it angers and frustrates me that presenter Glenn Campbell and Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill were trying to blame alcohol and drugs for being the biggest contributing factors to violent crime on our streets today....
