Man (60) attempts plane escape

A SCOT is facing criminal charges after attempting to get off a plane while it was still on the runway at JFK Airport in New York.

Robert McDonald, from Glasgow, is said to have tried to disembark from the aircraft by opening an emergency door. 

He is said to have grown impatient after sitting on board the jet, which had been sitting on the runway for hours.
