Pacific voyage for boat made of plastic bottles

A BRITISH environmentalist has laid out plans to sail the Pacific Ocean in a ship made entirely of recycled plastic bottles.

David de Rothschild says that his catamaran "Plastiki", which is currently under construction, will be made from 16,000 bottles and will be up to 60-feet long. His dangerous, 11,000 mile trip will start at San Francisco next month.
