Granny with five dead husbands freed

AN AMERICAN grandmother - who is under suspicion after each of her five husbands died - has been released on bail from a prison in Georgia.

Betty Neumar (76) has been accused of being involved in the death of her fourth husband, who was found shot to death in his rural home in the '80s. Other details to emerge is that her fifth husband had racked up over $200k worth of debts during his 14 year marriage to Betty before his death.

Betty's lawyer claims she has been unfairly painted as a "black widow".
