Heroic dolphins save surfer from shark attack

NEXT time you are wolfing into a can of tuna - which may or may not contain dolphin - spare a thought for these heroic sea-dwelling mammals.

24-year-old Californian and surfing fanatic Todd Endris thought his number was up when a Great White Shark clamped its jaws around him. However, Endris fought back, and was saved by a pod of bottlenosed dolphins who formed a protective wall around the stricken surfer.
