The council's highly popular 'Young at Heart' festival is returning again this year with a fantastic range of events at venues across South Lanarkshire.
After the overwhelming success of the event over the past three years, the council is again inviting everyone who is young at heart to come along and enjoy the festival which is running from Sunday 22 to Sunday 29 March.
The festival, which celebrates the arts by making it accessible for all, is staging many of the most popular events again this year including the free two o'clock recitals, the craft fair, exhibitions, film screenings, author visits and tea dances as well as a range of new courses and workshops including the chance to access the new ceramics studio at Hamilton Town House.
Other old favourites include the Flyright Dance Company which will take you through your paces ready for next year's Strictly Come Dancing!
There are also a range of performances both in the afternoons and the evenings at many venues and, as has become customary, the final week at Hamilton Town House will see 60s music featuring Scotland's finest Marmalade on the Saturday night.
So if you are 50+, young at heart and interested in the arts then this festival is for you and the council is confident you'll find something appealing in this unique programme.
Places are limited for most events so advance booking is advisable! Individual and Group bookings are welcome!
