Voting takes place between 8am and 8pm at the Tolbooth. Voters should bring identification of age and residency. You cannot vote on behalf of another resident.
Each ballot paper will indicate how many votes each elector may place. The elector will then place the ballot paper in the box provided for that purpose.
Anyone who has not already submitted their postal vote to the Community Council Liaison Officer, Corporate Resources, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton ML3 0AA can hand it in at the polling station during the hours of poll.
The Returning Officer Henry Shanks will count the votes at the close of poll at 8pm in the presence of polling staff and candidates. Those elected will be announced on the night and the results will appear in the local press.
