And on Friday Depute Provost Beith Forrest will attend a Guide Dogs Awareness Session hosted by Hamilton Guide Dogs for the Blind Training Centre and Fundraising Group at Hamilton Shopping Centre at 10.30am.
This awareness session as part of Guide Dog Week and will be run on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 October from 10am - 4pm.
The event is largely focused on making people aware of the difficulties blind and partially sighted people experience in travelling around shopping centres etc. It is hoped that some people will accept the challenge to be guided by a dog around the centre blindfolded.
