Memorial to be unveiled
A MEMORIAL for Lanarkshire workers who have lost their lives at work is to be unveiled.
North Lanarkshire Trade Union Council are behind the project, which will be unveiled at Summerlee Heritage Park in Coatbridge.
The memorial will be unveiled on Monday, April 28, on a worldwide day of remembrance to remind workers about the importance of health and safety in the workplace.
A ceremony will take place during the afternoon, with contributions from locals MPs and MSPs.
Trade Union groups will also lay wreaths in memory of members who died while at work.
