Scouts celebrate centenary with floral display

STRATHAVEN Scouts celebrated their centenary year by creating a floral display in Glasgow Road in the town.

Courtesy of South Lanarkshire Council, the display has created a lot of interest and favourable comments from the community.

The idea was suggested by Alison Woodock, one of the Scout Leaders.

She and husband Mike master-minded the design and procurement of the bedding plants which made up the display.

Mike, alongside other members of the Friends of Strathaven Scouts, carried out the planting which was completed on Thursday.
