New Strathaven Rotary president takes office

THE Rotary Club of Strathaven hosted their change-over evening last Tuesday when the new president Maher Hadidi officially assumed office.

In his valedictory address to club members Nigel Thomson expressed his heartfelt thanks for the support he had received from members in what had been a very eventful and highly-successful year for the club.

He wished Maher an enjoyable year as President of a thriving Rotary Club.

Junior Vice-President Tony Mitchell, on behalf of the Club, assured Maher of the members support in the coming Rotary Year.

Next week the club will hold their assembly at which incoming office-bearers will present their plans for the coming session.

Immediate Past-President Tom Cumming gave the vote of thanks.
