Avondale and District Young Farmers

AVONDALE AND DISTRICT YFC held their sports night on June 10, at The Ferme, Glassford, by kind permission of the Marshall family.

Results:

Girls – 1st, Gillian Walker; 2nd Ailsa Harvey; 3rd Jennifer Baillie.

Boys – 1st Gordon Howatson; 2nd James Howatson; 3rd Equal James Fleming and Robert McKechnie.

At the Lanarkshire Photography Competition, the theme this year was ‘My Home town’, and Susan Brown was placed 3rd, Lauren Watt (Lesmahagow) 2nd, and Stuart Russell (Lanark) 1st.

The team taking part at the Lanarkshire Sports, on June 14, were unfortunately not placed but thanks for taking part.

The Tractor and ATV Driving will be held at West Blackmoss Farm, Chapelton, by kind permission of the Grant family on Tuesday, June 24, at 7.30pm.
