Illustrated city tour for Strathaven Rotary Club
AT Strathaven Rotary Club’s meeting, President Nigel Thomson last week introduced the speaker from Bothwell and Uddingston, Rotarian Gordon Murray, originally from Glasgow’s south side.
A Govanhill boy and former pupil of Queen’s Park School, Gordon treated his audience to an illustrated tour of the south side, covering the origins of Queen’s Park and surrounding districts.
Junior vice-president elect Tony Mitchell delivered the vote of thanks to the speaker for such an interesting topic.
