AT the Gilmourton WRI April meeting Christine Kyle gave an excellent demonstration making 10 different dishes using fish.

These included a salmon noodle supper dish, a smoked fish pate and crunchy shrimp scallops, all of which the members had the opportunity to sample.

Competition winners were: individual cold sweet, 1. Mary Craig; 2. Helen Anderson; 3. Jess Brown.

Unusual candle, 1. Anne Stewart; 2. Marion Hamilton; 3. Marjorie McRae.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, May 7.

It is their AGM and there will be a sale of cookery, craft and gardening books, craft bits and pieces, as well as home baking and preserves.

The supper will be provided by the committee.

An outing is planned to Baxters at Blackford and Scone Palace with tea at Stirling, on May 28. For information contact Janette Smith on (01357) 300206.
