Keeping the kids active in Stonehouse

THE Youth Activity Group in Stonehouse, who provide a variety of activities for youngsters in the village, made a number of successful trips during the summer period.

Taking an average of three-trips-a-week, kids got to visit Calder Glen, Arran, Ayr, Millport, Rothesay and Loch Lomond.

The activity group will be holding their AGM on August 27 (Wednesday), and parents are asked to go along, as more volunteers are needed.

Sally Pyper, who runs the activity group, wants to remind parents that all children, aged eight and over, are welcome to attend the evening activities in the Public Institute.

Activities run Monday to Friday from 7pm-9pm.

Youngsters will be putting on a play, which they wrote themselves, at the Public Institute on September 13 and will be selling tickets soon.
