Beautiful Scotland judges make a visit to Stonehouse

BEAUTIFUL Scotland judges paid a visit to Stonehouse on the afternoon of August 12 as part of their annual environmental competition.

During the judging process, each community was assessed on a number of categories including floral displays, sustainable development and biodiversity initiatives, environmental quality, and community involvement.

The Beautiful Scotland environmental campaign, which has been running for over 40 years, is the largest of its kind in the country.

Communities are rewarded for their attempts to improve and enhance their local area.

Winning communities in each category will be announced at an awards ceremony on September 17.
