MSP backs new scheme to help people with learning difficulties find employment

THRESHOLD South Lanarkshire have launched a new scheme to help people with learning difficulties into work.

The Hamilton-based project aim to arrange training and work placements for those who use the service.

They also provide home support and assistance for adults with autism.

Threshold South Lanarkshire are part of Crossreach, a Church of Scotland social care provider.

The new service incorporates basic education and work-related skills.

Christina McKelvie, MSP for Central Scotland, visited the project and said: “I was very impressed with the work already being done and plan to give the new enterprise my full support.”
