Nurse Mei gains Masters degree

MEI McQuade, from Stonehouse, has successfully completed her Masters of Science degree in advanced health studies at the University of the West of Scotland.

The Malaysian-born nurse, who works in eye clinics across Lanarkshire, is now looking forward to putting her studies to good use in her role as advanced nurse practitioner in ophthalmology.

Mei said: “The course has given me a new outlook into health care and although it has been tough juggling full-time work and part-time studies, it has been worthwhile.

As a nurse, commitment to lifelong learning is essential to deliver quality care for patients.”

Now she has signed up to learn Mandarin at the Chinese School in Glasgow.
