Brighter Village Group makes its mark

BRIGHTER Village Group last month gave a new lease of life to two shrub beds in Sidehead Road in Stonehouse.

About £500 of group funds was used to purchase plants for the neglected area, which has now been transformed with the help of South Lanarkshire Council.

Brighter Village Group this week expressed their thanks to the men from land services for their hard work.

BVG are a charitable organisation who hold a variety of fund-raising events, the proceeds of which are spent on community beneficial projects.

On Saturday, they are holding their second annual craft fayre in the Public Institute. It will take place from 10am till 3pm.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
