Witness appeal after Stonehouse assault

TWO males aged 16 and 17 were rushed to hospital following a serious assault in a public park in Stonehouse on Friday night.

A black Renault Clio with two male occupants entered the car park of Alexander Hamilton Memorial Park at around 11pm on June 6.

The males left the vehicle and approached a group of youths where it’s understood an argument took place.

One of the car occupants then assaulted two male youths, aged 16 and 17, with an unidentified weapon.

Both were seriously injured and were taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital.

Their condition is described as serious but stable.
