Children get creative at Stonehouse writing class

A creative writing class for children aged 7-11 has started in Stonehouse.

The classes, called “Story Stars” concentrate on punctuation, handwriting and story writing.
Class teacher, Susan Whyte said: “I encourage all abilities to come along to my classes and each child is given exercises according to their stage.  My classes are all about encouraging children to write creatively.”

She added: “The kids love the classes.  A lot of them need to work on their writing and they come to class full of enthusiasm and are happy to share their book reviews and to read their work aloud.”

The class takes place on Thursdays from 3pm-4.30pm at Public Institute, 4/5 The Cross, Stonehouse.
