Bellshill Teenager denies setting fire to digger

A BELLSHILL teenager has denied setting fire to a mechanical digger at a building site in the town.
Mark Thomson (18), of Beechwood Gardens, Mossend, is alleged to have set fire to the driver’s cabin of the digger, which was located in a site in the town’s Main Street.
Thomson also denied a charge which alleges he was in the building site with the intention of committing theft.
Both offences are said to have taken place on April 19 this year while Thomson was on bail for another matter.
At Hamilton Sheriff Court last week, Sheriff Rae Small set Thomson’s trial for October 29 and granted him bail meantime.
