Lanarkshire youngsters take to the stage with drama academy

A GROUP of talented youngsters from Lanarkshire performed as part of the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy on June 21 at The Regal Theatre in Bathgate.

Through the year, students in the Academy have been experiencing the dynamic teaching of a unique self-development programme, designed to increase their confidence, self esteem and creative talents, through a carefully constructed, progressive drama syllabus.

After the show, Glyn Owen and Claire Keppie, principals of the Drama Academy in mid-Scotland, presented students with certificates to mark their achievements.

Classes have been operating for five years, with more than 400 students attending lessons each week. Lessons are available in Wishaw, Motherwell, Hamilton and Lanark.
