Young stars rewarded for their achievements

THE best of Motherwell College’s enthusiastic achievers were rewarded at the third annual STARS awards last month.

More than 50 students were present to collect awards in recognition of their achievements and enthusiasm for learning.

To become a STARS student, you need to excel in five areas: student potential over term; timekeeping; attendance; real effort and success.

The award winners were presented with individual certificates and a £20 Amazon voucher by Principal and Chief Executive of Motherwell College, Hugh Logan.

He said: “We can only open the college door for the students – they have to walk in and be willing to learn.

“Every person receiving a STAR award has done significantly more than that and I congratulate them on their hard work and endeavour.”
