Road safety campaign takes to county streets

A POWERFUL campaign seeking everyone’s support in keeping children safe is taking to the roads of Lanarkshire.

North and South Lanarkshire's Child Protection committees have joined forces to promote public awareness of this important issue on buses that travel throughout the county.

A series of adverts outside and inside the buses will reinforce the message that if you are worried about a child you should take action.

The campaign will run for around eight weeks throughout the summer.

Information leaflets on protecting children are widely distributed across Lanarkshire and information is also available on the Child Protection committees’ websites.

Anyone who is worried about a child or children should contact their local social work office, the police, or phone the national helpline 0800 022 3222.
