Blood donors needed to help save lives

PEOPLE living in Motherwell are being urged to donate blood when the Blood Transfusion Service visit the area this month.

The mobile donating team will be available at the Civic Centre Concert Hall on Sunday, May 25, from noon till 3.30pm. They will also visit the same venue on Tuesday, May 27, from 4pm till 7.30pm.

And on Wednesday, May 28, a donating bus will be sited at Asda car park, Watson Street, from 9.30am till 11.30am and again from 1pm till 3pm.

Support for the service is urgently needed to help provide the 1000 units of blood required every day to meet the demands to treat accident victims and patients undergoing life-saving surgery in Scottish hospitals.
