OUR Lady’s High School Former Pupils Light Opera Society are in rehearsals for their annual Spring Show.
The show will be held at Motherwell Concert Hall over five nights from Tuesday, May 6.
This year’s show will take the form of a French ‘café chantant’, which translates as singing cafe.
The hall will be transformed into an intimate continental cafe setting, complete with functioning bar.
The list of hits lined up to be performed on the night is truly eclectic, ranging from music by Bobby Darin to The Proclaimers.
Audiences are sure to be tapping their toes and singing along as producer Peter MacFarlane and musical director David Fisher take them on a whistlestop tour of top tracks from the last 50 years.
Highlights include Moon River, the Shirley Bassey classic Goldfinger and Great Balls of Fire, while Disney classics Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata will strike a chord with younger listeners.
The Beatles get in on the act, with Let It Be closing out the music and dance extravaganza.
The show will run from Tuesday, May 6, to Saturday, May 10, with performances starting each night at 7.30pm.
In keeping with the café theme, tables for group parties are available, with a 10 per cent discount on offer for block bookings of 15 or more on the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Individual tickets are priced at £11 for Tuesday to Thursday and £12.50 for the weekend shows.
