Tickets have sold out for tribute night

TICKETS for a charity night in memory of a young Larkhall man who was killed by a dangerous driver have sold out.

All 220 tickets for the William Campbell tribute night at Larkhall Leisure Centre on Saturday, November 8, have been snapped up.

The 24-year-old tragically died when he was a passenger in a Toyota Celica that crashed on the B7078 between Hamilton and Larkhall in the early hours of Sunday, March 13, 2005.

All the proceeds from the evening at the leisure centre will go to voluntary group SKID (Scottish Campaign Against Irresponsible Driving).

William’s sister Linda, who has organised the charity event, said: “We have been overwhelmed with the response.

“We just want a fun night and everyone to enjoy themselves in the memory of William Campbell.

“All the money raised on the night will be given to SKID when they hold their AGM on Saturday, November 15.”
