Join volunteers for a cuppa

VOLUNTEERS in Larkhall are joining in the fun to coin it in for a cancer charity.

Larkhall and District Volunteer Group are aiming to raise hundreds of pounds when they take part in a coffee morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Relief.

It will take place at the group’s offices at 3-7 Raploch Street on Saturday from 10am till 1pm.

All money donated on the day will be going towards the Macmillan Nurses Big Coffee Morning 2008.

Pat Smith, spokeswoman for the Volunteer group, said: “ It's amazing what a cup of coffee can do to help people living with cancer.

“Money raised helps to fund vital information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancer treatment and care, as well as providing grants for people with cancer who are in financial difficulty.”

Please go along and join the volunteers and enjoy a cuppa and biscuit.

There will be books, a raffle and crafts for sale.
