Police hunt attacker

POLICE this week made a fresh appeal for witnesses following a savage attack on a man at an Indian take-away in Larkhall.

The 56-year-old was in the Curry Club in the town’s Union Street about 12.30am on August 3.

Police say that following an “altercation”, the victim was punched and kicked on the head and body by another man.

The man sustained injuries to his face and was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.

Inspector Andy Munro, of Larkhall Police, said: “We are following a positive line of inquiry but would urge anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
