Larkhall to get new Christmas lights

CHRISTMAS will be a much brighter time for the people of Larkhall.

For this week Larkhall councillor Jackie Burns announced plans for Larkhall’s Christmas Fayre, which will take place on December 13 and a boost for the town’s lights.

The fayre will be held in King Street, where traders will be selling seasonal gifts, and local community groups will have stalls during what is always a popular event.

Festivities begin on December 1 with the switching on of the new Christmas lights and a carol concert.

Mr Burns said: “After many years of campaigning for new Christmas lights along the length of Larkhall Main Street, I am delighted that this year improved lighting will be going up.

“This is a decision which I am also sure will be welcomed by the people of the area.”
