Machanhill pupils raise money for charity

LARKHALL’S Machanhill Primary School took part in a LEPRA workout in May which raised a total of £1564.75.

LEPRA’s representative Marion Barr visited the school before the event to give a talk about the organisation’s work in the developing world. She explained it costs only £21 to cure one person suffering from leprosy.

The money raised by pupils at Machanhill will restore the health of 75 people suffering from the disease.
