Larkhall group visit Scottish Parliament

MEMBERS of Larkhall Heritage Group enjoyed a special visit to the Scottish Parliament.

They were the guests of SNP’s South of Scotland list MSP Aileen Campbell on Tuesday.

The group organise a regular programme of visits and activities for people in the Larkhall area with an interest in heritage and culture. Thirty members of the group travelled through to Holyrood.

Speaking after the group’s visit, Aileen Campbell said: “I was very pleased to welcome Larkhall Heritage group to Parliament and give them a chance to see Scotland’s Parliament from the inside.

“The Scottish Parliament was founded on principles of transparency and accessibility, and when groups like this visit I think we see those principles in action.

“I hope everyone in the group found the visit interesting, and discovered something new about the Parliament and the work of their political representatives.”
