AN innovative engineering project at the New Lanark World Heritage site has been nominated for a top award.
The Saltire Awards for Civil Engineering 2009 showcase the best projects in Scotland. And the New Lanark project is nominated for the conservation category.
The New Lanark sewerage scheme involved creating a sewage pumping station to reduce pollution to River Clyde.
The client was Scottish Water Solutions, designer mbc (Mott MacDonald, Jacobs and Grontmij), and the contractor Balfour Beatty Construction.
