Ladies in the pink Nov 12 2009

IN THE PINK: this year’s ‘wear it pink’ breast cancer event run by Carnwath painters and decorators, J. Kay in Main Street, was a great success. Their dressed up baby doll raffle raised £80 and was won by Mrs E. Hodson from Newbigging. Margaret and Anne (pictured) were delighted that the pink window products and donations came to £137, which made the total for the day £217. They have been running their breast cancer campaign for several years.Read

OUR lucky reader of the week this week is Robert Todd (62), from Braedale Avenue, Motherwell. He has been reading the paper for more than 50 years. Nov 12 2009
