Record visitor numbers is cash boost to Dalserf Church

DALSERF Church have received a cash boost after a magnificent £2000 was raised during two open days at the weekend.

A record number of people turned up to the many stalls at the event on Saturday and Sunday and helped raise money for church funds.

Meanwhile, people are being urged to go along to ‘Saturday Teas’ throughout the summer in Hamilton Hall, Dalserf, from noon till 4pm.

Two services will take place at Dalserf Church on Sunday.

Bob and Jan Trelogan, who are missionaries to Thailand, will be the special visitors at the first service at noon. At the service, three men and one woman will be receiving membership of the church.

The second service will take place at 6.30pm when a presentation of Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Brigade awards and the Commissioning of Officers will be held.

On Friday, May 16, at 7.30pm at Rorison Church, Ashgill, the speaker will be Joe McNeely, Director of the Faith Mission.

The Girls’ Brigade will meet in church on Monday evening, May 19.

Choir practice will be held at the church on Thursday, May 22.

The Boys’ Brigade meet there today (Thursday) from 5.45pm.

On Saturday, May 17, the guild trip to Gretna Outlet Village will depart from the shop at Netherburn at 10.30am.
