Coaching inn has £250,000 price tag
THE Village Inn, a former 19th Century coaching inn overlooking the village green in Carstairs, has gone on the market at offers over £250,000.
A substantial property located in the heart of the village, it has now been put up for sale because proprietor Ms Linda Ward wishes to pursue other business interests after two years of ownership.
The premises comprise a lounge bar and snug, a former restaurant with capacity for 26 diners, a catering kitchen, two flats, private parking and large terrace garden to the rear.
The inn retains much of its original charm and character and has two open fireplaces in the bars.
