Christian Aid week in Carluke

CARLUKE Christian Aid Week takes place from May 11-17.

Donations of baking etc., are required for the cafe which is being held in St John’s Church hall for the annual event.

This is one of the biggest fund-raisers of the week and support would be much appreciated.

An extra fridge is also needed for the hall.

Anyone who can help should contact their church or Christian Aid representative.

Friends of Kenya are collecting unwanted clothing, bedding etc.

Filled black bin bags can be left at Kirkton Church before April 27 for uplift. Goods will be recycled and converted into cash to assist the Friends of Kenya appeal.

A treasure hunt and barbecue is being held this Saturday at Kirkton Church to aid the Kenya Appeal. The first car will leave from the church at 2pm. For further information, phone David Brown on 770220.

A Good Cook book by Wendy Barrie provides exciting recipes from the Holy Land and can be purchased at church stalls after services.
