Food firms exhibit at show

TWO Clydesdale food producers will be flying the flag for Strathclyde at this year’s Royal Highland Show at Ingliston, Edinburgh, in June.

Simple Simon’s Perfect Pies of Coulter, Biggar, and Clyde Valley Farms Direct, based near Lanark, have been selected to represent the region in a special food exhibit.

The food hall is one of the most popular attractions at the show and the Strathclyde pavilion will have a central position.

A short film featuring Simple Simon’s Perfect Pies and Clyde Valley Farms Direct, a group of farmers supplying boxes of top quality beef and lamb, has been commissioned.

There will be daily cookery demonstrations and samples.
