Biggar bus crash injures 13 people as vehicle plummets into embankment

Thirteen people were injured after a bus smash in Biggar last night (Wednesday)

At around 8.25pm yesterday, a the coach left the A702, near Biggar, and plummeted down an embankment.

Seven of the passengers and the driver were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment and a further five passengers were treated at the scene.

Police enquries are continuing.

A report on the accident will be submitted to the procurator fiscal
