Ladies Night at Hamilton Park

Hamilton Park Racecourse is once again preparing for its most stylish, and competitive, event of the year in the shape of Ladies’ Night this Saturday evening.

Sponsored this year by Fake Bake, the evening meeting remains a firm favourite amongst the West of Scotland’s fashion-loving females. One of the racecourse’s Super Six fixtures, it boasts six top class races as well as the usual fashion theme consisting of glamorous gowns, show-stopping hats and glittering accessories.

The main feature of the event will once again be the ever popular Best Dresses Lady catwalk competition hosted by Clyde 1’s Suzie McGuire with a celebrity judging panel including Nadine Hawkins from No1 magazine, Knoxy from Clyde 1, a representative from Fake Bake as well as a surprise male judge.

The winner of the Best Dressed Lady category will receive a Ladies Raymond Weil Diamond set watch worth more than £1,000. Additional prizes throughout the night will include a Fake Bake boutique voucher and goody bag, a champagne, dinner, bed and breakfast overnight stay at Dakota Eurocentral, admission for four to the 2012 John Smiths Grand National, use of a BMW Z4 for a weekend, Ti Sento Jewellery and much more. For the first 200 ladies who enter the competition there will be a Fake Bake goody bag and for the top five a year’s subscription to No 1 magazine as well as a goody bag.

To further please the ladies there will be a shopping marquee featuring everything from jewellery, clothing, sunglasses and cookware as well as a champagne bar with topless men serving cocktails.

Chief executive of Hamilton Park Racecourse, Vivien Kyles, said: "Ladies Night is one of our most popular fixtures of the year, and with good reason. In addition to an evening of high quality racing, racegoers can enjoy the glitz and glam that is synonymous with a day at the races. Last year’s event was great fun and all the ladies – and a lot of the men – really took the fashion-focussed theme on board with some fantastic outfits on show.

"I am personally really looking forward to seeing what this year’s contestants come up with and I think we can expect to see some show-stopping looks. At Hamilton Park we are committed to offering a fantastic night out which caters to every taste and the glitz and glamour of Ladies Night, combined with the top-class racing of a Super Six fixture, epitomises that goal."

Ladies Night is one of Hamilton Park’s Super Six fixtures, combining high fashion, retail, a catwalk competition and live music with top-class horse racing. Gates will open at 4.40pm with the first race at 6.40pm and the catwalk competition due to start at 7pm. Live music after the race will be provided by Big Vern ‘N’ the Shootahs.
