£70k tractor nicked from Motherwell street

A YELLOW JCB tractor worth £70,000 was stolen from Range Road, Motherwell, between 2.30pm on December 14 and 9am on December 15.

The tractor had been used to clear snow in the Motherwell area when it was parked up and secured within the compound yard of MPC Limited on the Tuesday afternoon. The following morning, the tractor was gone.

TWO cheeky shoppers walked into the Phones 4U shop, Brandon Arcade, Motherwell, and cut the security wires on a handheld computer before making off empty-handed.

The incident occurred between 1pm and 1.40pm on December 13.

The first suspect is described as stocky, with short dark brown hair, and wearing a grey top with a blue hood and grey bottoms.

The second was slim with dark brown hair and wearing a black hat and black coat.

A VANDAL threw a brick and smashed the window of a blue Volkswagen Sharan between 7pm on December 17 and 3am on December 18.

The car was parked on Clapperhowe Road, Motherwell, at the time of the incident.

HAMMER-weilding men smashed the windows of a red Volkswagen Caddie van.

The two suspects, described as both aged 35 to 40, with short black hair, one wearing a grey t-shirt and the other a white top, jeans and jacket, struck at around 9.15pm on December 14 on Marmion Crescent, Motherwell.

THIEVES stole both sets of number plates from a brand new white Ford Fiesta parked at Strathclyde Park, Hamilton Road, Motherwell.

The car owner had left the vehicle between 2.30pm and 3.20pm on December 14 and returned to find his number plates missing.

POWER tools and metallic cabling were taken from a building site on Dale Drive, Motherwell.

The items were stored in a container and were stolen between 4.30pm on December 14 and 7.30am on December 15.
