WITNESSES are being sought after a vicious assault on a man and woman in the Bullfrog Pub, Motherwell.

Strathclyde Police are appealing for information after a 22-year-old male and a 21-year-old female were attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man suffered facial injuries and was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital after a glass was smashed in his face in the assault.

A BOGUS caller struck at the house of a senior citizen on North Lodge Avenue in Motherwell with the intention of power washing her slabs.

When the 67-year-old homeowner told the man that there must have been some mistake, the male began shouting and swearing at the woman before leaving in his white van.

The incident occurred at 11.30am on Thursday, September 2, and the householder was left extremely upset and shaken.

The male is described as in his mid-thirties, approximately 5ft 8in tall, thin faced sallow skinned, and slim built, with short dark brown hair and who was wearing a blue and white checked shirt.

A NAKED man was spotted roaming the grounds of Dalziel Estate, Motherwell, at around 1.30pm on Sunday, September 5.

The man is described as around aged around 30, 6ft tall, slim with short hair, and is believed to have been wearing a white T-shirt and dark coloured combat trousers shortly before stripping.
