Police appeal for information

MONEY and bank cards were stolen from a house in Grainger Way, Motherwell during a break-in.

The incident occurred between midnight and 8am on Tuesday, August 24.

A GREEN Landrover Freelander was taken from a driveway in Ladywell Road, Motherwell.

The car was stolen between 8.30pm on Tuesday, August 24 and 6.30am on Wednesday, August 25.

A THIEF made off with a white Ford Transit van parked in the car park at Draffen Tower, Motherwell.

The theft occurred between 9.30pm on Sunday, August 29 and 7am the following day. Any information to the Communities Unit at Motherwell Police Office.

POLICE are appealing for information after 240 cartons of milk was stolen from outside Muirhouse Primary.

Ten packs of 24 cartons were delivered by Wiseman’s Dairy at 3.30am on Friday, August 27 but were stolen by the time the janitor went to collect them at 7am.

COPPER piping was stolen from the back of a heating engineer’s van parked in Moorfoot Drive, Wishaw.

The incident occurred at 1pm on Friday, August 27 and four youths were seen in the area at the time.

THIEVES made off with two petrol lawnmowers worth £1400 in total from the garden of a house in East Thornlie Street, Wishaw.

The thieves took a STIGA 6-3 Lawnmower valued at £1200 and a smaller blue and black lawnmower valued at around £200.

The incident occurred between 10.30pm on Tuesday, August 24 and 5.30pm on Wednesday, August 25.
