POLICE were this week hunting a sleazy jogger who subjected a young woman to a terrifying sex attack in Hamilton.
The pervert indecently assaulted the traumatised woman in Hillhouse’s Fleming Way on Monday at 12.20am.
The victim in her early 20s was making her way home from a night out when her attacker pounced.
She was walking up Fleming Way when she saw the man who was out jogging and acting suspiciously shortly before her ordeal began.
He approached her and then made inappropriate comments, which placed her in a state of fear.
The woman screamed for help and the man ran off.
Fortunately, the woman was uninjured but badly shaken by the incident.
The suspect is described as Polish, in his early 20s to 30, with short, dark blond hair.
He was wearing shorts, white trainers and dark blue t-shirt.
Inspector Andy Munro, of Hamilton Police Office, said: “We are treating this as an indecent assault.
“We are looking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
“We would like to speak to anyone who has information on a man that fits the description.
“He appeared to be jogging and made inappropriate contact with the victim. She shouted for help and the suspect ran away.”
And Inspector Munro said: “This appears to be an isolated incident.
“We want to trace this suspect and make the area safe for people to walk the streets at night.”
