THE Greyhound Awareness League (GAL) are appealing to people from Stonehouse and other local districts to go along to their spring fayre and meet the greyhounds and lurchers who are looking for a new home.
The GAL dog charity are holding their Spring Fayre and Fun Dog Show on Sunday, March 21, at Larkhall Leisure Centre between noon and 4pm.
Provost Russell Clearie will open the fun-packed event, with categories in the show rings for dogs of all shapes and sizes, not just greyhounds and lurchers.
There will be rosettes for those placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Categories include Best Junior Handler, with Easter eggs for all the kids, Best Spring Themed Outfit, Waggiest Tail and more.
There will be hook-a-duck and face-painting for the children, hand-crafted jewellery and cards to buy and delicious home baking with tea or coffee.
One of the highlights of the event is the Homeless Hound Parade which features greyhounds looking for loving permanent homes.
Admittance to the fayre is £2 per dog, with no one paying more than £5 if they have multiple dogs.
Each category entered in the dog show is £1.
