Hamilton's Poundland staff and customers raise £150,00 for cancer charity

CUSTOMERS and staff at a Hamilton shop have helped to raise the magnificent sum of £150,000 for people who are affected by cancer.

Macmillan Cancer Support have announced that Poundland staff and customers in Hamilton contributed £1761.13 to the total raised by Poundland’ stores throughout the UK.

Poundland selected Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity partner of the year and set themselves the challenge of raising £100,000.

Thanks to the efforts of their staff and of their customers, this target has not only been met but has been passed.

Poundland customers can continue donating to Macmillan Cancer Support in all stores by putting cash into a collection box.
