Bothwell man alleged to have chased mother with knife

A 30-YEAR-old has been accused of arming himself with a knife and chasing his mother from her Bothwell home.

Thomas Lambert denies committing the offence and smashing ornaments and pushing over a TV at the Morven Way address on Saturday, January 23. He is also alleged to have demanded cash from Agnes Lambert.

Thomas Lambert also denies causing a breach of the peace in Uddingston’s Main Street on the same date and assaulting PC Scott Ashbridge and spitting at him.

At Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, he was remanded until his trial on February 18.
