THE Kennedy Cupcakes, a Bellshill-based dance troupe have welcomed a new dancer.
Linzi Slamin (24) from Motherwell joined the dance group over Christmas.
Choreographer Lisa Kennedy said: “Linzi has recently joined the troupe to help us keep up the demand for gigs in 2010.”
Linzi, a primary teacher at Whitdale Primary in Whitburn, has danced from a young age, training with Sheridan Nicol, Scottish School of Musical Theatre and formerly of the Clark Theatre School.
Linzi starred in a Kelloggs advert at the age of six, was awarded an Alvin Ailey scholarship in New York at age 14 and has performed at home and abroad as a professional dancer.
Lisa added: “We are delighted to have Linzi on board as our seventh dancer and she can't wait until her first gig in 2010.”
The Kennedy Cupcakes are already booking gigs way into 2010 and are all set for some road trips too, with requests now coming in from around the UK.
They have been asked to return to events in Scotland that they performed at last year.
