ST ANDREW’S Hospice will be displaying a Christmas tree in the Airdrie hospice to lift the hearts of patients and visitors from throughout Lanarkshire.
The hospice are ‘adopting’ lights on Christmas trees in Bellshill, Blackwood, Blantyre, Bothwell, Uddingston, Strathaven, Stonehouse, Cambuslang, Carluke, Hamilton, Lanark, Larkhall, Motherwell, Lesmahagow, Newmains Cross, Shotts and Wishaw.
And a spokesperson for the hospice is urging local people to part of the ‘Light Up a Life’ campaign and adopt a light.
He said: “People can select the Christmas tree on which their adopted light will shine in honour or memory of someone dear.
“Those taking part will receive a Christmas card from St Andrew’s confirming that their light is shining.
“We are also asking people to attend the lighting up event in their own town and the ceremony in the hospice grounds on Sunday, November 29 at 7pm.”
